Why is Matt a Wedding Photographer?



Because these two photographs started so much.

Because they just had to see what all the fuss was about.

Because we really didn't stage this.

Because this photograph spent a lot of time on a submarine in the south pacific.

Because grandpa loved this one.

Because Fred and Ginger never looked this good.

Because Sonja Henie never looked this good.

Because boys will be boys and girls will be girls.

Because she really does dance in the rain.

Because if not for a strange little woman who threw us out of a park, we never would have found this.

Because she'll always want to know what she was doing when Mommy and Daddy said "I do."

Because even at the end of the day when he was absolutely done with photos, we somehow found this.

Because we may have missed our sunset silhouette, but we didn't miss this.

Because Dad really wanted me to get this.

Because everyone needs a pair of these.

Because when most photographers are home and in bed, I get to share in moments like this.

Because laughter is good for the soul.

Because I love it when weddings turn into birthday parties.

Because if a bride gets overheated, there's only one logical place to put her.

Because every once in a while, he can't help himself. And she can't either.

Because I still can't believe she can bend like this.

Because, apparently, everyone is a photographer.

Because months of planning and an afternoon of complete and total chaos were all worth it.

Because they may not be my kids, but they surely could be.

Because this is what happens when you cross American Gothic, a golf course, and a wedding.

Because staying well past midnight for this, makes everything I do worthwhile.

Because a little snow can't stop this Nebraska girl.

Because a super moon really does happen once in a while.

Because that fountain looked sooooooo good.

Because you never know where you'll find America's next top model.

Because I really thought the girls could take them.

Because sometimes you just have to take a nap.

Because sometimes the wind actually cooperates.

Because this isn't just another country road.

Because Grandma got married there, so a little rain isn't about to stop this bride.

And because I love my job more than anything in the world.
